The Sidewalk Cleanup will take place on Saturday, December 1st.
This will be a major cleanup effort with the City bringing street cleaning vehicles through the neighborhood from Broad to 7th and Locust to South, and with cleanup supplies available at Seger Park.
HERE’S HOW IT’LL WORK:
- On streets with parking on one side only, parking will move to the “wrong” side of the street. On streets with parking on both sides, there will be no parking. The restrictions are from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Police enforcement (ticketing and towing) will be in effect.
- Debris from sidewalks, yards and alleyways should be swept into the gutter Friday evening or early Saturday morning.
- Street cleaning machines will begin to work their way through the neighborhood at 8 AM.
- Bags, brooms and gloves will be available at Seger Park from early Saturday morning. Excess debris can be bagged and left at major intersections.
WE NEED VOLUNTEERS TO MAKE THE DAY A SUCCESS!
The Civic is also hiring a shredder, so bring your documents to Seger Park 11am - 1pm. This is a great way to avoid personal identity theft !
We will also be collecting used cell phones to donate to the 6th District Police Dept. where they will be given to women in domestic shelters.
Pitch in! Give us a hand! Email your name and address to:firstname.lastname@example.org
