posted Nov 13, 2018, 7:10 AM by Wash West   [ updated Nov 26, 2018, 10:19 AM ]
Neighborhood Clean Up Day is all about removing the litter, debris and leaves from our sidewalks and streets. We're bringing in lots of personnel and equipment to blow out the small streets, sweep up the big streets and wash down Wash West. And we need your participation to make the day a big success.

Here's what we've arranged for Saturday:

  • 8:30 am: Crews with high power leaf blowers will begin blowing out the small streets, starting on the western side and moving east. Vacuum trucks will dispose of the debris.

  • 9:00 am: Seger Park is the place to come. Pick up everything you'll need to participate in Clean Up Day: brooms, rakes, shovels, gloves, leaf bags are all there for you a shredding truck will be there until noon, for your personal and household items. A big thanks to the Representative Sims and Senator Farnese for this service.

  • 9:00 am - 1:00 pm: Neighborhood-wide, sweeper trucks will pick up litter & leaves from the gutters and streets. Water trucks will hose down the streets during the last hour.

We need your help and participation

Side walk cleaning: The Streets Department will clean the gutters and streets. We are asking residents to clean the sidewalks. Please bag the debris and take the bags to any traffic light intersection (Streets Department roaming truck will pick them up).

Parking restrictions: Notices will be put up Tuesday and Wednesday — check out when and where you may or may not park. For your convenience cars can be moved as early as 8:00 pm Friday.

Spread the word: Please share this information with your neighbors.

Thank you for helping to make Wash West a clean and wonderful neighborhood in which to live and work.
